Anthony Perdicaro

Anthony Perdicaro, a native of South Florida, joined the Panthers Ice Den in June 2015. He began his hockey career right here in South Florida playing for The Planet Ice Predators before moving to New York playing for the Long Island Gulls AAA program. From there, Anthony was drafted to the OHL's Sault STE Marie Greyhounds. Anthony Played Jr. Hockey for 4 years and then moved on to a 7 year professional career. During Anthony's time in Junior and Pro hockey he was coached and mentored by many current and ex-NHL head coaches. Anthony has now dedicated himself to youth hockey in South Florida. Being one of the first players from the area to play Pro hockey he is very excited to be a part of growing the game of hockey in South Florida.

Nic Cota - 14 U A Red

Nic Cota started his hockey career at the age of 6 playing for the local house league team in Bangor, Maine- Where he grew up. He continued on his career through the Bantam level playing for the Maine Junior Black Bears. Nic attended Bangor High School where he played 3 years Varsity hockey. After Junior year Nic decided to go after his dream of playing NCAA hockey and moved away from home to play Juniors. In his first year of junior hockey he played for the Portland Jr. Pirates. After completing his first season of Juniors Nic was honored to be selected to play for the Walpole Express in Walpole, Massachusetts. This great opportunity had him staying in the wonderful organization for the remaining of his Junior career. With great coaching and teammates Nic was fortunate enough to earn a spot in the NCAA for the University of Southern Maine. After a wonderful experience at USM Nic was able to move forward into the coaching world. Nic's former College coach had given him an opportunity to be an assistant coach for Portland High School at the varsity level for the past 2 years.

Denis Shvidki - 14 U AA

Shvidki, born in Kharkov, Ukraine, started skating at the age of nine. By the time he was 15, he was playing professional hockey in Russia for Yaroslavl Lokomotiv (then Yaroslavl Torpedo). At 17, Denis moved to Canada and started his first of two seasons with the Barrie Colts (OHL). Denis amassed 200 points at Barrie during that time. In the 1999 NHL Draft, Denis was selected 12th overall by the Florida Panthers and spent parts of six seasons with the organization including 76 games and 25 points for the Florida Panthers. He also played 173 games in the AHL (Louisville Panthers, San Antonio Rampage, Utah Grizzlies) where he amassed 112 points and was selected to two AHL All-Star games. In other professional stops, Denis spent his final eight seasons playing in Russia in the Kontinental Hockey League and in Germany in the DEL (Deutsche Eishockey Liga). Denis brings his 17 years of professional hockey experience to the Florida Panthers IceDen as one of our newest instructors!

Neil Scancerella - Goaltending Coach

Neil has coached goalies for the past 11 years at Floyd Hall Arena, Give Em’ Nothing School For Goaltenders, and Great Saves Goaltending. He started to run the Goalie Clinics at Floyd Hall Arena when he was 14 years old, and ran the Goalie Camps until he was 16 years old. With Give Em’ Nothing School For Goaltenders, he started working for them when he was 16 years and Great Saves Goaltending I started working for them at the age of 19. With all three, he focused on skill development of each goalie. Both schools have produced multiple NCAA Division 1 and 3 goalies along with many ACHA Club hockey goalies.

Neil played youth hockey in New Jersey for my whole playing career. Played 3 years of Varsity High School Hockey with two different teams. He attended the University of New Hampshire where I played Division 2 ACHA Club Hockey and won the 2014 National Championship my sophomore year. Neil graduated in May of 2016 with a major in Kinesiology: Sport Studies and a minor in Business Administration.
